Dear friends of Explorium:
We want you to know that the health and safety of the extended Explorium community is our top priority.
Although there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Denton County, in an abundance of caution, Explorium is following the lead of Denton ISD, along with most neighboring school districts. Beginning Saturday, March 14 until at least Thursday, April 30, Explorium will be closed.
All parties scheduled for March and April will go on as scheduled as private events; our Director of Operations has already contacted those involved. Field trips are suspended.
We will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation prior to reopening and will communicate across all platforms as updates become available.
Please know that we continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and participate in daily calls with local, state and federal officials. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.
“These interventions help the community minimize the speed and scale of COVID – 19 outbreak at the local level in Denton County,” said Andy Eads, Denton County Judge.
In the meantime, please remain ever vigilant regarding your health and the safety and health of your family. Know that we will continue to support one another during this challenging time for our community and will provide regular updates as more information becomes available.
