We know that washing your hands regularly and properly is the number one way you can prevent the spread of germs or flu. Therefore\, we have signs in all bathrooms reminding our visitors and staff of proper hand-washing procedures\, and we provide alcohol-based hand sanitizers at locations throughout the Museum.\nIn our make and think area we will have single use materials and tools labeled in containers to prevent multiple people using the same items.\nOur baby area will be temporarily closed and we ask that you help us keep items from being mouthed. We will have multiple containers labeled “needs to be sanitized.”\nStaff will be wearing masks. We encourage parents and children to wear masks but it will not be mandatory.\nThe water fountain will be closed off please bring your own water bottle.\nAnd\, as always\, we remind all visitors and staff that the best way to prevent the spread of any virus is to stay home if they are feeling unwell. We reserve the right to ask anyone to please visit when they are feeling better.\n\nOur team will be constantly cleaning and sanitizing while members play. DESCRIPTION:Dear friends of Explorium: \nWe want you to know that the health and safety of the extended Explorium community is our top priority. \nAlthough there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Denton County\, in an abundance of caution\, Explorium is following the lead of Denton ISD\, along with most neighboring school districts. Beginning Saturday\, March 14 until at least  Thursday\, April 30\, Explorium will be closed. \nAll parties scheduled for March and April will go on as scheduled as private events; our Director of Operations has already contacted those involved. Field trips are suspended. \nWe will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation prior to reopening and will communicate across all platforms as updates become available. \nPlease know that we continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and participate in daily calls with local\, state and federal officials. We will provide updates as more information becomes available. \n“These interventions help the community minimize the speed and scale of COVID – 19 outbreak at the local level in Denton County\,” said Andy Eads\, Denton County Judge. \nIn the meantime\, please remain ever vigilant regarding your health and the safety and health of your family.
